Hair thinner and thinner. Wires dropped on computer, pillowcase and clothing. Failures on the scalp. Just imagine that, do you have your hair standing? NOVA has a good and bad news. The bad: before restricted to the masculine public – and feminine after the 45 years -, the baldness has made young victims more and more young. About 25% of women aged 30 have already had symptoms of androgenetic alopecia, the scientific name of the disorder, according to dermatologist João Carlos Pereira, from São José do Rio Preto (SP). “With women in the job market, having greater social participation and practicing physical activities, it is no longer possible to keep hair strategically tidy, hiding the sparse area for days or weeks,” explains dr. Pereira. Apart from the evidence that this reality contributes to the problem. “In the last 20 years, the incidence of female fall has practically doubled,” says dermatologist Valcinir Bedin, from São Paulo. Now the good news: none of us need to tear up the precious nerve wires. There is treatment for all cases, with great chances of success, especially when diagnosed early.
